Punch Rothschild EMS

October 30, 2009

Without a doubt, the Punch Rothschild EMS is a back pocket cigar for sure. Not that I recommend carrying it around in your back pocket, rather this is a consistent, go-to-smoke you can count on each and every time. I’ve found this cigar to be a straight shooter time after time. I always know what I’m getting myself into with the Rothschild, and once there I don’t regret a thing.

A fine cigar if you have only but an hour, with its 4.5 x 50 dimensions. However, if done properly, you can extend the life of this quality cigar to close to two hours.

I find the Rothschild to be quite inviting pre-light and even more so once lit. The aroma of this Honduran cigar is that of sweet woods with a hint of leather worked in for good measure. Certainly not a cigar for the novas smoker, the Punch Rothschild is a well-balanced medium to full bodied cigar producing large volumes of smoke that tend to envelop the smoker in a blissful state of joy.

A champ when considering draw, burn and overall consistency of construction, the Rothschild exudes all the qualities of a premium hand rolled cigar at a value price, $4.50 – $5.50 depending on location.

If you happen to be in the mood for a quality cigar with some backbone, I suggest you light up the Punch Rothschild EMS (or if you’re feeling daring, Maduro). I doubt very much you’ll walk away disappointed; I never have.

Personal rating: 9.5 (10 pt. scale)

Happy Smoking,
